Who We Are

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Youngsville, PARehabWorks at Rouse provides an avenue of intervention designed to optimize an individual’s functional independence following surgery, after suffering an injury including sports related injuries, or any debilitating condition that includes back pain, arthritis, fractures, and neurologocial disorders.

RehabWorks at Rouse is conveniently located on the eastern end of the Rouse Estate campus in a private, modern facility.  Newly remodeled, with all new state-of-the-art equipment, your therapy experience will be the best that it can be.  Spacious...comfortable... bright... The surroundings can't help but encourage positive progress in your recovery.  With flexible scheduling, we will work with you to meet your needs.  If your therapy needs are complex, requiring several modality interventions such as speech or occupational therapy, arrangements at nearby treatment centers may be necessary for optimizing your treatment plan to provide you with the best possible outcome.

Our therapists are highly skilled in treating a variety of orthopedic, neurological, cardiac and vascular disorders as well as work and sports related injuries.  At every step of treatment, patients are provided with education regarding their condition and are encouraged to participate in developing their goals. We work closely with you and you physician to optimize your treatment plan.

Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.

Our services currently include Functional Capacity Evaluations, strengthening, gait training, therapeutic exercise, pain management, balance, ultrasound/electrical stimulation/Iontophoresis.

Treatment often includes exercise, especially for patients who have been immobilized or who lack flexibility, strength, or endurance. Physical therapists encourage patients to use their muscles to increase their flexibility and range of motion. More advanced exercises focus on improving strength, balance, coordination, and endurance. The goal is to improve how an individual functions at work and at home.

Physical therapy may also utilize electrical stimulation, hot packs or cold compresses, and ultrasound to relieve pain and reduce swelling. They may use traction or deep-tissue massage to relieve pain and improve circulation and flexibility. Therapists also teach patients to use assistive and adaptive devices, such as crutches, prostheses, and wheelchairs. They also may show patients how to do exercises at home to expedite their recovery.  Our goal is to maximize your opportunity for the best outcome possible.  We will work with you every step of the way.
