Thank you for choosing Suites at Rouse! We are delighted that you have decided to become a part of our unique assisted living community and we are hopeful that you will soon realize the many benefits that Suites at Rouse provides to its residents.
Here is some information that will be helpful to you before you move in.
To initiate telephone service, contact Verizon. You can call at any time and they will schedule a date for hook-up sometime before you move in. Verizon will bill you directly for their services. Each apartment is equipped with one modular telephone jack. The Suites is responsible for wiring to the phone jacks. If a resident wishes to move the phone jack to another location within their apartment, this can be done with the understanding that the resident is responsible for the costs.
When phone service is to be disconnected, the resident/family member must call Verizon to disconnect.
To initiate cable service, contact Youngsvill Television Corporation. There are two membership options available.
The first membership option requires you to pay a lifetime membership of $150.00 up front with an additional monthly fee for basic cable service of approximately 60 channels.
The second membership option requires you to pay a fee of $50.00 up front and $10.00 per month for 10 months for your membership and you would also be responsible for a monthly fee for basic cable service.
Cable payments are due by the 1st of the the month witha $5.00 late fee after the 10th.
Additional services to basic cable are available at your request for an additional fee. For your convenience, you are welcome to leave a check at the reception desk made payable to Youngsville Television Corporation in the amount arranged between you and the cable company. The Youngsville Television Corporation requires payment at the time of connection.
We suggest that residents bring at minimum, two sets of sheets, all necessary toiletries including any incontinence products, and a flashlight.
Per the Department of Public Welfare, trash cans in bathrooms and kitchen areas must have lids. Each resident must have a lamp or other source of lighting that can be turned on/off at bedside.
Use of enablers (bed rails, trapeze bars, etc.) must be approved by the Administrator prior to installation due to DPW restrictions.
Residents who attend to their laundry personally are responsible to provide their own laundry supplies.
It is not necessary for you to bring a vaccum cleaner or any cleaning supplies as housekeeping service and supplies are provided by Suites at Rouse staff and are included in the monthly fee.
If family members or friends plan to join you for a meal or meals on move-in day, or at any meal, please let us know at least one day in advance so that we may prepare accordingly.
Please make change of address with the Post Office as soon as possible.
If voting is important to you, it is necessary to change your registration from your area to Brokenstraw Township.
Purchase emergency ALS or BLS membership per provider of your choice.
The Suites encourages each resident to maintain their relationship with their personal physician, or other health care professionals. Should your physician wish to conduct your medical exams at the Suites, he/she is welcome.
As per the Department of Public Welfare regulations, the Suites at Rouse does not maintain stock medications of any kind. Residents shall receive assistance as needed with perscribed medications. This assistance may include helping the resident to remember his/her schedule, storing the medication in a secure place and offering the resident the medication at the perscribed times. It is the resident's responsibility to take his/her medications. If using the contract pharmacy, please get a set of new perscriptions for all your medications.
Residents who self medicate must be able to do it safely. Staff will check periodically to maintain safety and compliance.
1) In a semiprivate room, medication must be kept in locked container. All medications in a private room must be in a secure box or medicine cabinet.
2) The Suites must maintain an up-to-date list of the medications at all times and should be immediately notified of any change in medication.
3) Frequent monitoring checks will be made by the Suites staff.
4) Medications should be kept in original containers with up-to-date labels.
5) Outdated medications must be discarded.
Residents who self-monitor medications may purchase his/her medications independently. Residents who use individual pharmacies are responsible for obtaining all refills and new prescriptions.
